Curtis Benjamin Waldrop Sr., 69 of Vancleave, died Monday, October 17, 2011 with his family present. Mr. Waldrop was a long time resident of D’Iberville. Mr. Waldrop started his life hauling pulpwood. He was employed with Hickman Metal, Owens Scrap metal, and David Motor and Scrap. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank B. and Marie Agnes(Barber) Waldrop; his late wife, Sherry Lea (Warden)Waldrop; granddaughter Veronica Jill Dedeaux and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife Connie M. Waldrop; daughters, Mary Parrish(Ronnie) of Pascagoula, Linda Hill (Mark) of D’Iberville, Melanie Darlene Necaise (Lex) of Saucier, Theresa Jones (Mike) of Panama City, FL, Terry Dedeaux (Luther) of Saucier, Margie Breedlove (Terry) of Vancleave, Mary Stokes (Roy) of Biloxi, Jackie Waldrop Boozer; sons, Curtis B. Waldrop Jr. (Jenny) of Woolmarket, Frank Dwayne Waldrop (Kelly) of D’Iberville; brother , Bobby R Waldrop(Dorothy) of D’Iberville and sister, Lillian Richey of D’Iberville; 35 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 6:00p.m. – 10:00p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 10:00a.m., both at Ramsay Hill Baptist Church, 13300 Joe Batt Road, Ocean Springs, MS 39565. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
