Curtis Eugene Jackson

Curtis Eugene Jackson passed away at 94 years of age on January 23, 2021 with family by his side after a long, happy, and healthy life. Curtis was a WW2 Veteran. He retired from the US Navy. He was later retired from Air Traffic Control position at Dannelly AFB in Montgomery. Curtis continued to volunteer full time in many positions. including AARP. He taught 55 Alive Driving Courses for AARP until the past year. Curtis was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Hunter Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Buck Jackson, Bill Jackson, Winget Jackson, James Jackson, Tommy Jackson. Curtis’ sister, Polly Clark resides in Montgomery AL. Her daughter Kathy Vincent and husband Paul Vincent reside in Montgomery. Curtis is survived by his daughter, Shelley Beasley and 4 grandchildren Mark Beasley, Melanie Lobeck, Chris Beasley and Dave Beasley. He has seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild is expected in July. A private graveside service with honors by the US Navy will be held at a later date at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama. Donations can be made to any Veterans Association of your choice in Mr. Jackson’s memory. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street in Gulfport, is honored to serve the Jackson family.
