Mr. Curtis M. Seymour, 84, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Sunday, October 21, 2007, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Seymour was a native and lifelong resident of Ocean Springs. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps in WW II in the Central South and Southwest Pacific Theaters and retired from civil service after 31 years. He received his Master Mason Degree in 1947 in McLeod Lodge #424 in Ocean Springs. He was a Knight Templar of the York Rite Bodies of Biloxi and recently received the Supreme Council 50 Year Membership Award. He was a member of Joppa Shrine Temple and served as its 5th Potentate in 1982. Mr. Seymour was a member of First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Earline Smith Seymour; brothers, Clinton Seymour and Francis Seymour, and sister, Lucille Grierson. Survivors include his wife, Margaret A. Seymour of Ocean Springs; step-daughter, Kellie Carl of Brazoria, TX; step-son, David Carl of Texarkana, TX; two nephews, Paul McClain of Ocean Springs, and Michael Seymour of Atlanta, GA; three nieces, Glenda Brodnax of Latimer, Wanda Brown of Biloxi, and Tammy Dearman of Vancleave. The family prefers donations be made to Joppa Shrine Temple, 13280 Hwy. 67, Biloxi, MS 39532 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 4803 Harrison Circle, Gulfport, MS 39507. The family wishes to send a special "Thank You" to Ramsey Spring Personal Care Home and Quality Hospice. Visitation will be held today, Monday, October 22, 2007, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. A procession will leave the funeral home at 2 p.m. for graveside services in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
