CWO3 Jack "Hutch" R. Hutchison

Chief Warrant Officer 3, Jack “Hutch” R. Hutchison, Jr., age 69, passed away peacefully in Mobile, AL on January 17, 2022.

Hutch was born on October 4, 1952, at the Fort Sam Houston Army Base in San Antonio, TX. He was a long-time resident of the Gulf Coast and graduated from Gulfport Highschool (1970). Hutch was an army veteran having proudly served for 20 years. His tours included Saudi Arabia, Germany, Korea, and the Gulf War.  Hutch’s second love was his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He took several trips visiting friends around the world and his loving wife, Deborah, was always ready to ride passenger with him. Hutch owned Mr. Jack’s Landscape and Lawn Service in Gulfport, MS for over 20 years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to a few of his clients: to Mrs. Kirk, who was his very first and last customer and also a dear friend of his whom he enjoyed having afternoon tea with; to Deede Auge, who helped Hutch acquire his first commercial landscaping account which started with 15 Family Dollar Stores and ended with 18; and to Al Lofland of Popp’s Ferry Sales and Service, who always took such good care of Hutch and his equipment throughout the years. After retiring from his landscaping company, Hutch found enjoyment from spending time with his family, traveling, and visiting his granddaughters and his dear friends, Richard and Jonette.

Hutch is preceded in death by his father, Jack R. Hutchison, Sr.; son, Jeremy A. Hutchison; brother, Jimmy Hutchison; and grandson, Malakai Cox.  Survivors include his loving wife, Deborah Hutchison of Biloxi; sons, Paul (Abby) Hutchison of Gulfport and grandaughter Brailyn and Brandon (Heather) Cox of Tennessee and grandaughters Ainslee and Raevyn; mother, Sybil Hutchison of Gulfport; sister, Linda (Chuck) Laurent of Gulfport; many nieces and nephews; and his sidekick, “Nacho”.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Hutch’s memory to a charity of your choice.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Biloxi National Cemetery.

“He lived, he served, he rode, he loved, and he is riding his Harley Davidson in Heaven. We all love and miss you, Papa Hutch”
