Dahmert "Dory" Banks

Mr. Dahmert "Dory" Banks, 88, of N. Biloxi, MS, was called home Friday, April 3, 2009, at his home in N. Biloxi. Mr. Banks was born December 13, 1920 and spent most of his life in Ohio farming and driving a truck. A Purple Heart recipient of WW II, he served in the Pacific Theater with the 1st Marine Division, seeing action on both Guadalcanal and Peleliu. Mr. Banks was preceded in death by his parents, beloved step-father, two wives, two sisters and four brothers. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Sharon, Jim, David, Kathy, Barb and Janice; three brothers, two sisters, twenty one grandchildren seventeen great grandchildren, and Barbara's children. He will be laid to rest in his hometown of Mifflin, Ohio. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
