Danny David Bledsoe

Mr. Danny David Bledsoe, 57, of Biloxi, MS, passed away Friday, March 23, 2007, at Biloxi Regional Medical Center. Danny was a lifelong resident of Biloxi and a member of First Baptist Church of Biloxi. He was the original owner of Biloxi Rod and Tackle. Danny was preceded in death by his father, Dan Bledsoe of Biloxi. He leaves behind his mother, Bertie O'Neal Bledsoe of Biloxi; his best friend, Maxine Bledsoe of Gulfport; his daughter, Susan Desporte and her husband, Dale Desporte, of Ocean Springs; two grandchildren, Hunter and Chase Desporte of Ocean Springs; one sister, Pat Crawford of Ocean Springs, and one niece, Nealy Crawford of Covington, LA. Danny is remembered as a wonderful son, father and grandfather and an avid salt water fisherman. His love for good fishing, good food and good friends was evident in all that he did. At 6' 9" he stood above the crowd in more ways than one. Anything he took on, he did in a "big" way. Although illness eventually took both of his feet, he remained "larger than life" to all who knew and loved him. Danny will be remembered as a good man with a big heart, a quick smile, and a hearty laugh. No one that knew him will ever forget him. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all of his friends and neighbors who cared for him in his time of need. Your kindness will always be remembered. Visitation is Tuesday, March 27, 2007, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Biloxi City Cemetery. The Family prefers memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, 16 Northtown Drive, Suite 100, Jackson, MS 39211.
