Mr. Darnell Anthony Lepre, age 81, of D’Iberville, MS passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 in Sun City Center, FL. He was born on September 26, 1940 in Biloxi, MS and attended school at Biloxi High School and University of Southern MS. He was a past member of Nativity BVM Cathedral and Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he served on the Parish Councils for each church, past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 9097, D'Iberville, MS member of Knights of Columbus Council 9673, Woolmarket, MS, member of Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, past member of D’Iberville Historical Society, serving as Treasurer. He formerly worked with Boeing, Honeywell, retired from Ingalls and served in the Air National Guard. During his spare-time, his interest included Genealogy, Listening to Music, Dancing, Atlanta Braves and the New Orleans Saints.
Mr. Lepre is preceded in death by his parents, Salvador Lepre, Grace Boney Lepre; and by his siblings, Jerome Lepre, S.C., Earleen Sigworth, Stanley Lepre, Alma Lepre, Mary Knox.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Knox Lepre; children: son, Dana Lepre, daughter, Christa Lepre York (Ben), step-son, Michael Lucas (Lori) and step-daughter, Cheryl Lucas Leydon (Robert); grandchildren, Turner York, Katie Leydon and Erin Leydon; siblings, Lyndell Lepre (Sue) and Ethelyn Rainosek; and pet, Maggie.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Paul Pavlov, Nurse Twy, Dr. Christopher Karcher, caregivers and staff of Bay Cove Assisted Living Facility, Biloxi, Ms, Caregivers and staff of Aston Gardens Memory Care, Sun City Center, FL, Dr Ahmad and the doctors and nurses at South Shore Hospital Sun City Center, FL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lemoyne Blvd., D’Iberville, MS. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park, Gorenflo Road D’Iberville, MS.
