"Dave" Szumigala M.Sgt. USAF

David T. "Dave" Szumigala, M.Sgt. USAF Retired, age 74, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013. Dave was a native of Detroit, MI and a longtime resident of Ocean Springs for the past 43 years. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 23 years and was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Szumigala and his parents, Sanford and Lottie Szumigala. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Brenda Jermyn Szumigala of Ocean Springs, MS, two sons, Brad "Z" (Melissa) Szumigala of Panama City, FL and Charles D. (Faith) Szumigala of Ocean Springs, MS, sister, Sandra Marginet of Roseville, MI, stepsister, Char (Tom) Ambrose of Grand Rapids, MI, three grandchildren, David, Lauren and Andy Szumigala, three step-grandchildren, Zack, Mack and Jack (Alyssa) Bozman, and a great-granddaughter, Annabella Bozman. Visitation will be on Friday, December 27, 2013, from 10am until 11am, with an 11am chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
