David Allen Brannon

David Allen Brannon, 52, of Gainesville, Fl, died Sunday, October 29, 2006 in Lake City, FL. Mr. Brannon was born in Covington County, Alabama and was a former resident of Long Beach, MS for about 15 years, moving to Florida following Hurricane Katrinia. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1996 after 24 years of service and following retirement worked for Lockheed Martin. He was Baptist and a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Brannon. He is survived by a daughter, Darby Brannon of Chicago, IL; a son, Christopher Brannon of Manassas Park, VA; two brothers, Ken Cox of Opp, AL and Tim Cox of Knoxville, TN; his step-father, Donald Cox, Sr. of Columbus, Ga; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, November 2, 2006, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport. The funeral service is Friday, November 3, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment follows in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach.
