David Howard Prahl

Lieutenant David H. Prahl, born November 11, 1966, in Syracuse, New York, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2008, in Biloxi, MS. In 1984 he began his community service in the U. S. Air Force as a Security Policeman. David continued his police career in Inlet, NY and later by joining the Biloxi Police Department where he had an honored and distinguished career for 21 years. He was a graduate of the National FBI Academy in Quantico, VA and was selected as Officer of the Year in 1995. Like so many of his brothers and sisters in law enforcement, he dedicated himself to his community, family and friends. He was a great sportsman and loved motor sports and hunting. David is survived by his loving wife, Stacey Prahl; his daughter, Kaitlin; mother and step-father, Jackie and Paul Mineker; father, David Prahl; sister and her husband, Suzanne and Edward Sinay; nephew, Joshua; and his niece, Victoria; as well as his grandmother, Naomi Chrisler. David also leaves numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He will be greatly missed and remembered by everyone. He was our precious jewel and loved by us all. Friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of his life Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at 12 p.m. at the Pentecostal Church of the Gulf Coast, 1907 Popps Ferry Road in Biloxi, with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions may be made in David Prahl's name at any Community Bank, Gulf Coast, 677 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Biloxi, MS 39530. www.communitybank.net.
