David L. Desporte

David L. Desporte, 64, of Biloxi, MS went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 9, 2008. David was a longtime resident of the coast. He was a member of the Ramsay Hills Baptist Church. David praised the Lord through his music and was an original member of the Mississippians Gospel Quartet and a member of the Bluff Creek Blue Grass Gospel group and other Gospel groups over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Eva Marie Langley Desporte; brother, Paul D. Desporte. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Breland Desporte, Biloxi; daughters, Terrie Ann Derouen, Biloxi, Patrice McCraw, Gulfport, Michele Renee Surian, Ocean Springs, Felicia Taylor, Orange, TX, Kelly Grigsby, Biloxi; son, David G. Desporte, Vancleave; sister, Charlotte Young, Tunica, MS; brother, James "Jimmy" Desporte, D'Iberville; aunt, Hester Tierce, Biloxi; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Howard Ave. Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Ramsay Hills Baptist Church at 11:00am where friends may visit one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Buffalo Cemetery, McLain, MS.
