David Lawrence Mellen, Sr.

David Lawrence Mellen, Sr. 57, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009. Born October 14, 1951 in Gulfport, Ms, David was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. His love of anything to do with being on the water guided his life, working as an overseas ship captain or fishing the rigs at home. David is survived by his father, S. P. Mellen, Sr, of Long Beach, MS, his son David L. Mellen, Jr. and daughter, Marsha Ingram, both of Gulfport, MS, his sister, Marion Gural of Euless, Tx, his brother, S. P. "Sassy" (Anna) Mellen, Jr. of Long Beach, MS, a granddaughter and a grandson. Friends are invited to share their memories of David on Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Long Beach Yacht Club, Hwy 90, Long Beach, MS.
