David Wayne Smith

David Wayne Smith, age 64, of Gulfport died Friday, July, 20, 2012 in Gulfport. Mr. Smith was a Civil Service Quality Assurance Specialist at Stennis. He was a member of Gulfport Masonic Lodge #422, a charter member of the Joppa Shrine Temple and a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Smith served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam era. He was predeceased by his parents Gressett C. Smith and Waulite Mavis Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 44 years, Theresa Ellis Smith of Gulfport; two daughters Angela Smith of Century, FL and Genevieve M. Brace (Robert) of Gulfport; one sister Margaret J. Beben of Biloxi; one brother Larry G. Smith of Biloxi and five grandchildren, Sarena L. Morrell, Dixie S. Morrell, Robert D. “Alex” Brace, Jaiden D. Brace and C. J. Freeman. Masonic services will be on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at BRADFORD-O’KEEFE FUNERAL HOME, 15th Street Gulfport. The family prefers memorials to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3100 Sam ford Ave., Shreveport, LA 71103 or the charity or church of your choice.
