David Allen Thomas, Sr.

David Allen Thomas, Sr., 68, of Vancleave, MS passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024 in Ocean Springs.

David was a native of Mississippi, born to Truman and Jean Thomas. He graduated from Vancleave High School and was employed with Ingalls Shipbuilding. David enjoyed playing music, singing and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Angela Thomas; and his siblings, Rachel Hill, Rose Thomas and Tony Thomas.

David’s survivors include his son, David Allen Thomas, Jr.; his grandchildren, Victoria, Gene, River and James “JR” Robert; his siblings, Truman E. (Melinda) Thomas, Diane Thomas and Karen Thomas (Perry Parker); numerous nieces and nephews; and his rabbit, Skippy.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 4400 Audubon Lane, Gautier, MS 39553.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to his caregivers, Dixie Thomas and Zack Eaton.

A Celebration of Life to share our memories of David will be held at Vancleave Ball Park on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 6:00 pm (dress comfy). Interment will be held at RLDS Church Cemetery in Vancleave at a later date.
