Deacon Lynne Hough, age 77, of Gulfport died Tuesday, December 22, 2015 in Gulfport. She was born in Louisville, MS and moved to Biloxi during Junior High School and graduated from Biloxi High School. She earned an associate’s degree from Phillips Business College and worked for the Daily Herald for twenty plus years. She graduated from the School of Theology at The University of the South in Sewanee, TN and was ordained a Deacon February 18, 1996. She served at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Long Beach for 20 years and as chaplain at Memorial Hospital Gulfport for 23 years. She was Senior Deacon in the Diocese of Mississippi and served on the Discernment Committee and Commission on Ministry.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kellie Hough; and parents, John and Lena Oldham.
She is survived by her son, John Hough and his wife, Annette of Clinton, TN; and grandson, Ryan Hough of Gautier.
Visitation is Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 5-7:00 P.M. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. The funeral service is Monday, December 28, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, Long Beach.
