Dean Harold Schultz

Dean Harold Schultz, age 60, of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023.

Dean was born on April 10, 1963, in Lansing, MI. He was an offshore boat captain for several years and at the time of his death, he was a journeyman electrician. Dean loved the waterways of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, especially the Biloxi River and Palmer Creek. He loved kayaking, collecting artifacts, Indian arrowheads, and petrified wood. Dean loved his late dogs, Bucan and Mud. They loved the river and going on the supply boats Dean captained. Dean often fished while he was offshore on his boats.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Harold V. Schultz and Dorothy Schultz Shumake (Bill); sister, Debra Davidson; and brother, David Paul Schultz.

He is survived by his son, Dean Harold Schultz II; grandson, Grayson Schultz; brother, Dennis Allen Schultz (Karen); sisters, Dawn Schultz Gaston (Don), Diane Schultz Ethridge (Jeff), and Dee Anne Schultz (Rusty); and brother-in-law, Brendan Davidson.

Dean’s celebration of life will be held September 30, 2023, at the “River”. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15^th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Schultz family.
