Debra Kay “Kay” Crawford Lawson, 59, of Biloxi, MS danced into the arms of the Lord Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Biloxi.
Kay was born August 7, 1958 in Natchez, MS to Joe and Bessie Davis Crawford. She received her ADN in Nursing from Southern Arkansas University and was employed as an RN with Claiborne Home Health. Kay was a member of Nativity BVM Cathedral.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Joann Crawford.
Kay’s survivors include her husband, Bill Lawson; her children, Michael B. Mathis, Dustin A. (Amy) Mathis and Shawn (Andrea) Sims; her eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the ICU staff at Merit Health-Biloxi for their compassion and care during her final hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nativity BVM Elementary School. Kay was passionate about Nativity BVM School.
Funeral Services will be held at Highland Baptist Church in Natchez, MS on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Family and friends may visit from 11:30 am until service time.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
