Deedi Talamantez, age 64, of Gulfport passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in Gulfport. She was a lifelong resident of San Antonio and Dallas Texas and recently relocated back to the Gulf Coast. She was a member of Campground Baptist Church. She retired from ATT after 30 years. Deedi was very loving and especially loved children and was known as “Grammy”. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton E. Watson and Vera Lander Hart; a sister, Carolyn Watson; brothers, Edward Watson and Jimmy Green. She is survived by her husband, Michael Talamantez; a daughter, Autumn Mendoza (Jerry); her step-mother Frances Watson; sisters, Tammy St. Andre, Debra Wade, Gail Farish, and Donna Sue Berlin; her brother, Billy Jack Youngkin; grandchildren, Shyanne, Keeley, Austin, Travis, Ashli, Taylor, Danyail, and Tyler; many nieces and nephews. The funeral service is Monday, January 25, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Campground Baptist Church, Highway 53, Gulfport where friends may visit one hour before the service. Interment follows at Wolf River Cemetery, Harrison County. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements. View and sign register book at www.bradfordokeefe.com.
