Delia M. Brown, age 89, of Long Beach, died Saturday, June 4, 2011 in Gulfport. She was born in Chazy, New York and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast for the past 28 years.
She was an avid reader and spent many hours crocheting afghans for family and friends who also enjoyed her fabulous cooking. She was a "1921 special" and she loved her family and friends and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Deming and Mina Barcomb Deming; her son, Charlie Brown; and a dear friend, Elizabeth Duncan.
She is survived by special friends, Mike and Karen Livengood of Long Beach; three grandchildren, Barbara Hucherson of Columbus, Ga, Marie Duncan and Jeff Duncan, both of Biloxi; twelve great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 8, 2011 from 10 until 11:00 a.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport. The graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Finley Cemetery.
