Delilah Lynea Thornton

Delilah Lynea Thornton, 3 months old, was called home by the Lord on February 18, 2007, to be united in heaven with her great great grandparents, Bud and Alice Thornton, great grand parents, Esse A. and Willie Mae Foreman, Gloria Smith, L. C. Gipson and John Robinson, Sr.and Aunt Annette Robinson. May they love her, cherish her and hold her safe in their arms until we are all together again. She leaves behind to cherish her memories and keep her love alive, her parents, David and Drema Thornton, and her siblings, Breanna, David, Jr. and Anysha Thornton. Delilah also touched the hearts and souls of everyone in her large extended family, including her great grandparents, Charles W. Thornton and Kay Shaffer, and Clarice Robinson; grandparents, Fred and Lisa Thornton, Randy and Vickie (Thornton) Vandawalker, Ms. Karen Gipson and Mr. John Robinson, Jr. She was also cherished by her great aunts and uncles, Winifred Fest, Fletcher Fest and Chuck Fest, Frank and Cheryl Ross, Russell and Patty Foreman, Mr. and Mrs. Hal Foresburg, Greg and Shari Gipson; Uncle Fred Thornton, Jr., Aunt Casey Laffoon; her bubbas, Gabe and Dylan Thornton, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom lost a piece of their hearts on the day she left us. Peace be with you, our beautiful and blessed angel. We love you!!! Visitation is Friday, February 23, 2007, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Ocean Springs where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. CALLED HOME It's time you came to be with me, Jesus said so tenderly. The Father said, it's time to go, I cannot let you suffer so. So understand that she is gone, you will have to carry on. She'll rest in peace with all her love, Watching you from up above. Your guardian angel at you side, Someone in whom you can confide. She'll wipe away the tears you cried, To help you through the pain you hide. She'll hold you hand oh so tight, To help you make it through the night. If it were within her power, She would give you one more hour. So stop your tears, you cry in vain, God knows your fragile hearts in pain. Your little girl has been called home, Where God will love her, as his own.
