Dennis D. Dauro, Jr, age 67 died Monday, February 22, 2016 in Long Beach. He was born in Gulfport and was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach. He was the retired owner of Dauro’s Collision in Long Beach. Dennis was a people person with a big heart who was always willing to help. He was active in the USM scholarship program and enjoyed traveling and cooking and anything to do on the water.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis D. Dauro, Sr. and Lorraine Loflin Dauro.
He is survived by his wife, Martha E. Dauro of Long Beach; a step-daughter, Kristie V. Molsbee (Randall) of Biloxi; a son, Dennis D. Dauro, III (Sara) of Long Beach, two step-sons, Adriel Rocha of New Orleans and Adam “Donnie” Rocha of Gulfport; a sister, Elaine Ladnier (W. G. “Tiger”) of Perkinston; and five grandchildren, Isabella, Roman, Sienna, Hollen, and Manolo.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 26, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 27, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Long Beach where friends may visit beginning at 1:30 p.m.
