Diane Marie Whitson, age 66, of Gulfport, passed away on Tuesday, Feburary 27th, 2024.

Mrs. Whitson spent most of her life in Michigan. She was a graduate of Denby High School. After high school, she was a bookkeeper at T&H Grinding and Bultnyck & Co. She moved with her family down to the Mississippi Gulf Coast where she resided for the last 5 years, during which time she was a valued employee at Elliott Homes. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, and friend to everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

In high school, she was a decorated field hockey player. She discovered her love of horses when she met her husband, Phil, where she took great delight in giving buggy rides to family and friends. After she moved to the Gulf Coast she loved to walk along the beach and fly kites. She was an avid quilter, she could spend hours on her machines, many of her quilts are beloved gifts to family and friends.

Mrs. Whitson is preceded in death by her father, William Loftis and sister, Debbie Loftis Robb.

She is survived by her loving husband Phillip Whitson, her mother Patricia Loftis, and her daughter Kassidy Whitson. Her surviving siblings are Tom Loftis (Mary-Kay), Suzanne Hollingsworth (Cary), Kevin Loftis (Erin), Gordon Loftis (Amy), and Janice Loftis. She will be missed by her two favorite felines, Micheal and Luna.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 4th, 2024 at Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home at 15452 O’Neal Road, Gulfport, Mississippi 39503 from 1-3 pm with a celebration of life at 2:30pm.
