Dianne Young Hurlbert

Dianne Young Hurlbert, age 73, of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024.

Dianne was born on December 29, 1951 in Gulfport. She graduated from Gulfport High School and attended J.D. Junior College and the University of Southern Mississippi, where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Library Science. Dianne was a writer for the Daily Herald and later was a librarian at J.D. until she retired. Some of her hobbies included animal rescue, photography, dining out, and traveling.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, K.L. and LaVerne Young.

Survivors include her husband, Rudy Hurlbert and sister, Joanne Langston.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024 at St. James Catholic Church. Friends may visit one-hour prior to service.  A reception will follow at 1099 Township Road, Gulfport, MS 39507. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15^th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Hurlbert family.
