Dolly Dimple Holder Smith

Dolly Dimple Holder Smith, age 76, a native of Richton, MS and a lifelong resident of Vancleave, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 12, 2015 in Vancleave. She was a loving wife, mother and Granny who worked most of her life, but always cared for her family as if she was a stay at home mom. She was preceded in death by her parents, CL and Laverne Holder; her husband of 53 years, Robert “Bob” Smith; her brother, Harry Holder; and her grandson, Mark Shelnutt, II. She is survived by her children, Renee Smith, Buddy Smith (Brenda Lynn), Betty Mizelle (Johnny) and Jackie Mallette (George); her nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and eight siblings, all of Vancleave. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 12:00 pm at The First Baptist Church of Vancleave, 12513 Hwy. 57, Vancleave, MS, with at visitation for family and friends from 10:00 am until service time. Burial will follow at Vancleave #1 Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider the financial needs of the family for any funeral expenses. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
