Dolores Hormanski Parker, age 89, passed away on January 22, 2019, in Wiggins, MS.
Mrs. Parker was a lifelong resident of Biloxi and was of the Catholic faith. She was born on August 26, 1929 in Biloxi and spent her childhood on Point Cadet. She was affectionately known as Doe to her childhood friends and Dee Dee to her family. After marrying, she spent the next 30+ years of her life on Back Bay. She retired from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department where she worked in the record's office.
She enjoyed a good cup of coffee, a good book, working challenging crossword puzzles, and hearing about her grandchildren's activities. She had a quick wit which her grandchildren found much humor in.
Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Parker; by her parents, Bennett and Eva Fichter Hormanski; and siblings, Ruth Barhonovich, Rita Radovich, Bennett Hormanski, Jr., Edward Hormanski, and Ione Pylate.
Survivors include her children, David Parker, Keith Parker, Julie (Ted) Cain, and Susan Parker; and grandchildren, Jason Parker, Jeni Parker, Lindsay (Kelly) Keen, Erin (Brandi) Holmes, Logan Cain and Evan Cain.
She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Parker's family would like to extend their gratitude to her compassionate caregivers at Stone County Nursing and Rehab Center and Stone County Hospital, Wiggins, MS. They would also like to thank the ministers of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Wiggins, MS, for their weekly visits.
