Don Earl Osborn, 86, of Long Beach died Tuesday, August 15, 2006 in Gulfport. He was born in Bald Hill, OK and had been a resident of Long Beach for 30 years.
Mr. Osborn served in the Army Air Corp during World War II and retired from the U.S. Navy in 1966 after over 20 years of military service. He also retired in 1982 from the Naval Oceanographic Office and was a member of the Fleet Reserve. He was Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory F. and Mary B. Osborn; and six brothers, Charles S. Osborn, James W. Osborn, Otis C. Osborn, Liman D. Osborn, Bobby C. Osborn, and Ollie J. Osborn.
He is survived by his wife, Vada Darden Osborn; three daughters, Donna Fife, Barbara Clay, and Darlene Kreiser; a sister, M. Katherine Bellafiore; a brother, Emory F. Osborn; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Monday, August 21, 2006 at 12:15 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport where friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the service. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi with military honors by the U. S. Navy.
