Don O'Hara Melvin

Don O’Hara Melvin, age 58, of Biloxi passed away Monday, July 21, 2014. Don was a resident of Biloxi and was a graduate of Biloxi High School. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a S3-Viking Mechanic with a Rank of E5 on the U.S.S. Kennedy. He was a former Deputy Sheriff in Harrison County and was formerly employed with the Housing Authority. Don is preceded in death by his parents, Mehalie “Ted” Carroll Melvin and Ernest Charles Melvin, Sr.; and brother, Thomas Melvin. Survivors include his wife, Francie Melvin; daughter, Lisa Marie Ferrill (Edward); brother, Ernest Melvin, Jr.; two nieces; one nephew; and seven grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
