Donald Anthony Bernius

Donald Anthony Bernius, Sr. age 87, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021, in Gulfport, MS. He was born in New Orleans, LA and had been a resident of the Coast for 25 years. Donald previously served in the US Air Force and was a retired aircraft mechanic. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Gulfport. He is preceded in death his parents, Peter Robert Bernius, Sr. and Anna Barbara Stoll Bernius; a son Donald Anthony Bernius, Jr.; a sister Marion Britain; two brothers Peter Robert Bernius, Jr. and Dennis Gerald Bernius, Sr. Donald is survived by his wife Dorothy W. Bernius; two daughters, Barbara Bernius and Beth Bernius; son David Bernius; sister Carol Zetsch; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, October 11, 2021, from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. followed by a service at 3:00 p.m. at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 1726 15th Street, Gulfport, MS. Interment will be in Long Beach City Cemetery, Long Beach, MS. The family prefers memorials to the American Heart Association, 2159 E. Pass Road, Unit A, Gulfport, MS 39507.
