Donald Ray Ely

Donald Ray Ely, born on December 21, 1963, died unexpectedly on November 25, 2018. Mr. Ely was born in Biloxi, MS to his mother, Alberta Vance and father, Clyde Ely. He was the oldest of seven siblings, Scott Ely, Darrin Ely, Brian Ely, Dayna Ely, Tonya Romero, Melissa Shelton, and Brandon Ely. Donald was a Golden Glove Champion and bronze medalist in the Junior Olympics. He was a hard worker having done multiple types of construction such as painting, flooring, and building. Survivors include five children, Kevin Byers, Stephanie Ely, Daniel Ely, Joseph Ely, and Donald Jr. Ely. Finally his family is continued even more through five wonderful grandchildren. He was a very loved man and is gone too soon from this world. Visitation will be on Friday, December 7, from 11:30 am until 1 pm, with a 1 pm Memorial Service, all at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.
