Donald F. "Don" Tremmel

Donald F. "Don" Tremmel, died Sunday, November 27, 2005 in Carlsbad, CA. Don was born in Metairie, LA, but lived most of his life in Biloxi. Don was preceded in death by his parents John Oliver and T.C. Tremmel, brothers John Oliver Tremmel, Jr. and Edward G. Tremmel. Don is survived by a brother and sister in law Robert and Barbara Tremmel of Carlsbad, CA and a sister and brother in law, Janet and Richard Johnston of Biloxi. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Don was a graduate of Notre Dame High School Class of 1951 and St. Edward University, Austin, Texas in 1958. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean War, receiving a Purple Heart. Then served 2 tours in Vietnam. Don was honorably discharged as a Captain in 1969. Retired after 20 years from Dibbs in Gulfport and was of the Catholic Faith. He will be sadly missed by family and many good friends. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 2, 2005 at Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi, where friends may visit from 12:30 till 1:00 P.M. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
