Donald Foster, age 87, of Ocean Springs, MS went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 15, 2010.
Don was a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1947. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama. He was an electronics instructor at Keesler AFB for forty years and during this time worked as an engineer with WLOX TV, helping to get the station on the air when it opened. Don loved photography and was in great demand over the years to take photos for weddings. He was a man of faith and served his Lord through First Baptist Church in Biloxi, teaching Sunday School for more than fifty years and also serving as a Deacon for many years.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, sister and son, John Lowell Foster.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Dorothy A. "Dot" Foster; daughter, Nancy Glass; twin sister, Dorothy Cutrer; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. where friends may visit one hour prior to service.
Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery with a private committal.
