Donald Francis Doyle, Jr.

Donald F. Doyle, Jr., (Don) as he was known to his family and friends died Friday, August 29, 2008, at the age of 73. Don was a native of Cambridge, MA and a resident of Biloxi for 52 years until Hurricane Katrina. He relocated to San Angelo, TX and now in Ocean Springs. Don retired from the United States Air Force in 1974 after 20 years of service. He held the rank of Tech Sergeant and was an electronic specialist. He also was employed at Ingalls Shipbuilding, (now Northrop Grumman in Pascagoula) as a Spec A Electronic Technician, and retired in 1998. Don was preceded in death by his oldest son, Steven Doyle of Biloxi, his parents Donald, Sr. and Honorine Boudreau Doyle, his sisters, Barbara Hutchinson, Mildred Bartlett, and a brother, Eddie Doyle, all of MA. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Marie Pavich Doyle; his sons, Joe Doyle and wife JoAnn, of Biloxi, and Don “Donnie” Doyle of Ocean Springs; his daughter, Lydia Costa and husband Greg, of San Angelo, TX; his grandchildren, Jonathan Doyle and Christina Carroll, Tamara Doyle, Taylor Doyle and Blair Doyle; Special Brother-in-law, Joseph Pavich; Sisters, Dorothy Pergamo, Sheila Timmons and Evelyn Ferrandini; brothers, James Doyle and Thomas Doyle; Special Friends, Jim Buck and Joe T. Cox, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is Thursday, September 4, 2008, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bradford- O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi, with the Rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 noon Friday, September 5, 2008, at St. Michael Catholic Church where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery with military honors. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Don’s name to Saint Michael Catholic Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 523, Biloxi, MS 39533. The family wishes to extend their love and gratitude to many dear friends who offered and provided their support and loving friendship during this difficult time. Our sincere thanks and appreciation for your compassion and excellence in care, to Dr. R. Koschak, Dr. F. Rahman, Dr. Studt, Dr. Ayass and nursing staff of San Angelo, TX., Dr. Sherri Arledge and nursing Staff of Southern Cancer Center in Ocean Springs, MS., Dr. Stanich and nursing staff of the 2nd floor North East, especially Kim, Kathy and Delores of Ocean Springs Hospital, the nursing staff and especially Hilda of Amedisys Home Health Care, nursing Staff of Hospice of Light, Glenda, Shonda and Shekindah, and Stat Medical Equipment. Also, the family wishes to extend a special thank you to Fr. Greg Barras of Saint Michael Catholic Church for his spiritual guidance and caring support to all of us during this most difficult time.
