Donald Gene Stevenson

Mr. Donald "Scotty" Stevenson, 79, of Latimer, passed away January 8, 2010, in Gulfport. Scotty was born September 2, 1930, in Clovis, New Mexico and raised in Oklahoma City. He joined the U. S. Navy where he served 24 years before retiring to the Gulf Coast. Scotty was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Snyder; and father-in-law, Erie Cruthirds. He is survived by his wife, Eileen; daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Ronnie Toncrey; his granddaughter, (his heartbeat) Paige; mother-in-law, Laneeta Cruthirds; brother, Larry (Ann) Stevenson of Oklahoma City; and sister, Diane of Tulsa. Visitation is Tuesday, January 12, 2010, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Fayard United Methodist Church on Jim Ramsey Road in Latimer. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment will follow in Cruthirds Family Cemetery in Latimer. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs is in charge of arrangements.
