Donald Marvin Guinn, 71, of Gulfport died Tuesday, November 1, 2005 in Gulfport. Mr. Guinn was a native and former resident of Hot Springs, Arkansas and had been a resident of Gulfport for the last year. Prior to that he had been a resident of California and had lived and traveled all over the world. He was retired from the Department of Defense after 30 years of service as a calibration and metrology engineer. He was a Mason and of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Guinn is survived by his wife, Helen Greer-Guinn of Gulfport; a daughter, Dierdre Guinn of Gardena, CA; two step-daughters, Cheryl Greer Guinn of Hot Springs,AR, and Charlotte Greer of Tarzana, CA; four sons, Steven Rodney Guinn of Hot Springs,AR, Joseph D. Guinn of Newport Beach, CA, Reginald M. Guinn of Irvine, CA, and Donald Anthony Guinn of Gardena, CA; four step-sons, Morris Greer, III of Hawthorne, CA, Anthony Greer, of Lancaster, CA, Marvin Greer of Sun Valley, CA, and Perry Greer of Arletta, CA; two uncles, Dr. Ed Guinn of LaJolla, CA and Stanley Mason of Hot Springs, AR; 33 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport where friends may visit from 10:30 a.m. until the service. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
