Donna Marie Carter

Donna Marie Carter, age 81, of Gulfport passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

Donna was born on December 29, 1942 in Laconia, NH to Fredrick A. and Constance M. Gale. She graduated from the Sawyer Secretary School of Business in San Jose, CA. Donna was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gulfport for almost 60 years. She retired from State Farm Insurance after a long-term career.

Donna enjoyed going for long walks, exploring nature, gardening, cooking and baking with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, going on vacations, and spending time with her family. She also gave to many charities and loved her neighbors.

Donna is survived by her husband, Allen Dearborn Carter, Jr.; children, Jacqueline Congleton and Jennifer Ballard; grandchildren, Paul Congleton, Leslie Hutchison, Chelsey Young, James Ballard, and Louis Congleton; great-grandchildren, Rylee Congleton, Lily Congleton, Zackary Young, Ava Hutchison, Lilah Congleton, Olivia Young, David Hutchison, Carter Congleton, Abigail Young, Luke Ballard, Enzlee Congleton, and Jayden Ballard; and sisters, Elizabeth Martin, Helena Gale, and Kathy Griego.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Carter family.

The family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in honor of Donna Carter.
