Donna D. Densford, 63, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, in Gulfport.

Donna served in the US Army from 1979-1983 and was a proud member of Joe Graham American Legion Post 119 in Gulfport.  She graduated from USM in Hattiesburg with a bachelor’s degree, earned a master’s degree at SE Louisiana University in Hammond, LA, and a master’s degree at William Carey University in Gulfport.  Upon graduation, she worked in the Biloxi Public School System for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Jane Lindsey, her stepfather, William R. Lindsey, and her father, Howard Monk, Sr.

Donna is survived by her husband of 38 years, John Paul Densford, Jr.,  her two sons, John and Sean Densford, her daughter-in-law, Peyton, her granddaughters Ella and Emory, and her beloved pet dog, CoCo.   She was the beloved sister of Howard Monk, Jr., Harlan Monk, Robert Monk, Charlene Kerkow, and Lisa Cooper and was “Aunt NaNa” to her many nieces and nephews.

Donna will always be remembered for her kind, loving, and “big sister to all” heart.  She was steadfastly there for friends and family in need who turned to her for support and love.  Her presence on this Earth will be greatly missed.
