Dora Louise Trosclair Delahoussaye of Vancleave, MS passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 1, 2013. She was 61. Dora was born in Heron Bay, AL and raised in Biloxi. She graduated from Biloxi High School in 1969 and began her career in finance. She was employed with Harrison Finance upon her death. Dora enjoyed life to the fullest, especially if it included Mardi Gras, the Saints, Bunco, or Crusin’ the Coast. She was happiest when she was with her family traveling, camping, or just having a good time. Her smile was contagious, and she never met a stranger. Dora was a strong woman and fought until the end. She refused to allow her illness to slow her down. Heaven gained an angel when Dora left this earth. Dora is preceded in death by her father, Maxwell Trosclair, Sr., her grandparents, Rosie Trosclair Wescovich and Maxwell Trosclair; and her in-laws, Beatrice and Herb Hubbard. Dora is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Jerry Delahoussaye, Sr. She also leaves behind her daughter, Dawn Delahoussaye Cormier and her husband Chris, and son, Jerry “Fuji” Delahoussaye and his wife, Renee. Meme especially loved her grandchildren: CJ Cormier, Chailey Cormier, Taylor Delahoussaye, Josie Delahoussaye, and Robert Lamey. Dora is also survived by her mother, Alberta Graham Trosclair; sister, Emily Trosclair Matthews and her husband, Chuck; three brothers, Paul Trosclair, Sr. and his wife Suzanne; Terry Trosclair and wife Yvonne; and Maxwell “Junior” Trosclair and his wife, Terri. Dora leaves behind her in-laws, Selma and Bobby Simmons and Jack and Catherine Delahoussaye. She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from the Howard Avenue Chapel in Biloxi with interment following in Biloxi National Cemetery. The family requests donations be made in Dora Delahoussaye’s name at Hancock Bank; and floral arrangements will be accepted. .
