Doris K. Applewhite

Doris K. Applewhite, age 84, of Ocean Springs, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Marie Kersh, her loving husband of fifty-four years, Ernest Applewhite, Sr., her son, Guy Applewhite, and her grandson, Brian Applewhite. She is survived by her beloved sister, Betty Jean Esposito, her children, Ernest Applewhite, Jr. (Susan), Roger Applewhite (Vicki), Scott Applewhite (Monique), and Gretta Applewhite. She is survived by her grandchildren, Kelly (Cliff) LeBlanc, Lisa (Tyler) Applewhite-Decker, Marcus Applewhite, Gina Applewhite, Kristopher Applewhite, Nevin Applewhite, and her great-grandchild, Garrett Ward. The family would like to give special thanks to Glenda, Nickie, Debbie, and Shirley, for their unwavering support and nurturing care of Granny as they saw our family through to the end of her journey on earth. Visitation will be Monday, November 16, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held for family members on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.
