Doris M. Johnson

Doris M. Johnson, age 93, passed away on February 21, 2024, at her home after a brief illness, surrounded by some of her family. She has been a long-time resident of Biloxi and worked for many years at the Broadwater Beach Hotel until it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. She was originally from New Braunfels, TX and was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hulda Elsworth and several of her siblings. Survivors include daughters, Mary Morales of New York, Rose Johnson, and Donna Johnson both of Biloxi; son, William W. Johnson (Sylka) of Vancleave; stepson, Robert S. Johnson (Madge) of Hiddenite, NC; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. There will be a small memorial service for the family on March 1, 2024, and her remains will later be taken to New Braunfels, TX and burial will be in the Elsworth family plot in the Comal Cemetery.
