Doris Madeline Wicklund Mason

Doris Madeline Wicklund Mason, age 74, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Friday, August 21, 2009, in Ocean Springs. Ms. Mason was a resident of the coast for ten years and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. She loved to fly with her father and enjoyed raising and loving her family. She was an inspirational mother who will be sorely missed by family and friends alike. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Claire Mason and a brother, Reginald Mason. Survivors include her husband of forty years, Leonard C. Wicklund, daughter, Muriel Wicklund Swint of Ocean Springs, MS., son, Erick (Natalie) Wicklund of Charlotte, N.C., one brother, Robert Mason of Riverside, RI, and two grandsons, Wesley Alan Wicklund and Matthew Christian Wicklund, both of Charlotte, NC, Visitation will be on Saturday, August 29, 2009, from 12 Noon until 1 PM, with a 1 PM church service, all at Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Ocean Springs. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to Christus Victor Lutheran Church, Memorial Fund, 2755 Bienville Blvd., Ocean Springs, MS. 39564. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
