Doris Mae Howard

Mrs. Doris Mae Ladnier Howard, age 78, of Ocean Springs, MS., passed away on Monday, October 12, 2009, sleeping comfortably in the company of her son and granddaughter. Mrs. Howard was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Eugene Ladnier and Ida Wilson Ladnier, husband, Frank A. Howard, two daughters, Linda A. Bond and Sandra H. Hummel, son, Ralph P. Howard, two brothers, Francis E. (Eddie) Ladnier and Dewey L. Ladnier, and two sisters, Nora Ackerson and Louise Gay. Survivors include her daughter, Janice Hyde, son, Edward Howard, both of Ocean Springs, MS., two grandchildren, Susan Eaton Page of Tishomingo, MS. and Frankie Broussard of D'Iberville, MS., four great-grandchildren, Christopher Harris, Sheridan Page and Justin and Jaime Broussard, sister, Emma (Dan) Ellis of Biloxi, MS., brother, Huey (Irene) Ladnier of Del Cambre, LA., and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 15, 2009, from 11 AM - 2 PM, with a 2 PM chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
