Doris Norma "Me-Me" Cannette

Ms. Doris N. "Me-Me" Cannette, 84, of Biloxi, MS, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2006, in Biloxi. Ms. Cannette was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi. She was a devout member of Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedral and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Stella Diaz Cannette; beloved sister, Verna Mae Kuljis and her husband, Peter; brothers, Clyde Cannette and Gene Reid Cannette. Survivors include her daughter, Norma Jean McMahon and her husband, Charlie, of Biloxi; grandson, Justin Thibodeaux and his wife, Willena, of Biloxi; great granddaughter, Shelby Renee Thibodeaux of Biloxi; step grandsons, Timothy McMahon of Ocean Springs, Michael McMahon and his wife, Tricia, and Ryan McMahon and his wife, Stephanie, all of Biloxi; step great grandsons, Patrick McMahon and Brett McMahon of Biloxi; step great granddaughters, Cassidy McMahon of Biloxi, and Malissa May of Ocean Springs; two very special aunts, Myrtle Barhanovich and Juliette Wheeler of Biloxi; sister, Gloria Pemberton of Biloxi; sister-in-law, Nell Cannette of Biloxi; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to express their special thanks to Mary Ashley of Odyssey Hospice Health Care, and to Azzie Henderson and Mae Baylis of Biloxi Communtiy Living Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 13, 2006, at 11:30 a.m. at Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedral where friends may visit from 10 a.m. until service time. Entombment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
