Doris Padgett Creel

Mrs. Doris Padgett Creel, 80, of Lucedale, MS, died Saturday, June 14, 2008, in Lucedale. Mrs. Creel was born in Amite, LA and had been a longtime resident of Biloxi before moving to Lucedale. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Creel was preceded in death by her former husbands, Herman Hebert, Billie Pickett and Francis Creel; parents, James and Ollie Mills Padgett; sisters Carolyn Warden and Robin Oehler; and an honorary sister, Nell Hebert She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Hebert of Denver, PA, and Dianna Lyman of South Hadley, MA; son, Billie Lee Pickett, Jr. of Lucedale; sisters, Marilyn Houck of Richland, WA, and Elaina McCullaugh of Lucedale; and three grandchildren, Charisse Kelly, Billie Lee Lyman and Troy Kelly. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at 12 noon at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will be in Long Beach City Cemetery, Long Beach, MS.
