Dorothy Ann Holland (Cruse)

Vancleave - Dorothy Ann Holland (Cruse), 70, of Vancleave died Sunday, July 16, 2006 in Ocean Springs. Beloved mother and grandmother went to be with her Heavenly Father and husband on July 16, 2006. Dorothy was born on March 8, 1936 in Biloxi, where she resided until 1975, then moved to Vancleave where she resided until her death. She was a beautician for many years, then managed the Vancleave High School Cafeteria for 16+ years and retired from Jackson County School District. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin D. Holland and son, Brian Keith Holland. Survivors include Connie Hankins and her husband Ernie of Long Beach, Robin Wilson (Earl Jorden) of Vancleave, Penny Lynn Cole and Curtis of Vancleave, Patricia Ann Heath Michael of Meridian and Dawn Elizabeth Oakes and her husband Richard of Vancleave; a son, Todd Michael Holland and wife Tammy of Vancleave; half-sister, Sheila Davis; a brother, Martin "Dudie" Cruse, Jr.; a beloved cousin, Violet Romero; fourteen grandchildren, Chris Hankins (Amy), Amanda Hankins, Stephanie Chambers (Chris), Jeremy Wilson (Brandy), Lashonda Cole, Chad Cole, Chrysta Jackson (Casey), Todd Michael Holland II (Christina), Brian Holland, Hunter Heath, Tyler Heath, Charitie Oakes, Justicee Oakes and Linzey Oakes; nine great-grandchildren, Emma Hankins, Garrett Wilson, Marin Wilson, Christopher Chambers II, Brandon Jenne, Nathaniel Jenne, Aron Warden, Kira Jackson and Gavin Holland. Visitation Services will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 20, 2006 in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
