Dorothy Burris, 86, of Biloxi, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 in Biloxi.
Mrs. Burris was born on August 15, 1924 to William and Margaret Wright. She served her country during World War II in the Navy as a Yeoman where she earned the American Theatre Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal. She was a lover of cats and all wildlife. She was a very dedicated and loving wife , mother, and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Lahm and Vernon Burris.
Dorothy is survived by her son Keith Lahm and her daughter Marilyn Daniel and her husband, Gary. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Dean and Alicia.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi where friends may visit from 10 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Burris will be interred in Charlotte Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda, Florida at a later date.
