Dorothy Lamay Jones

Dorothy Lamay Jones, age 71, of Kiln, MS passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 in Kiln. She was born in Thomaston, GA on February 25, 1950, and resided in St. Bernard Parish most of her life. She was a resident of Mississippi for 17 years. Her favorite things were family, friends, Benna (her bird), music, record player and CD's, all animals, balloons and Santa Claus and Christmas. Lamay is preceded in death by her parents, Leo Machado, Sr. and Mary S. Machado and a brother, David Machado. She is survived by her sister Jenny Hartshorn (Dennis); a sister-in-law Shannon Machado; a former sister-in-law Cheryl Machado; brothers Leo Machado, Jr. and Joseph Machado (Nickie); many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the many caregivers over the years that assisted in her care. Visitation will be Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15452 O’Neal Road, Gulfport, MS, followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in St. Bernard, Louisiana.
