Dorothy Valery Parker

Mrs. Dorothy V. Krohn Parker passed Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in D’Iberville, MS. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Biloxi, Ms. She was also a member of the Cedar Lake United Methodist Church in Biloxi, MS. Dorothy was a foster parent to several children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lloyd Parker, and her parents, Herbert Walter and Evie Mae Krohn; her daughter, Melinda Darlene Hubler; and her son-in-law, John Hubler. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Romie Wayne Krohn. Survivors include her children, Dorothy Gay Jones (Don), Daniel Roy Parker (Charlotte), Glenn Ray Parker (Dorothy) and William “Billy” Parker (Robin); her brother, W.M. Krohn; two grandchildren whom she raised, Wendy Whitfield (Shane), and Tiffany Preston (Eddie) along with her other grandchildren, Phillip Albert (Erica), Danny R. Parker Jr. (Gerrie), Donna Martin (Mark), Heather Parker, Amy Groue (Eric), Brittney Ramsey (Jonathan), Chrissy Parker Bannister (Darren), and Jessica Trochesset (Kristian). Dorothy is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2012 from Cedar Lake United Methodist Church. Friends may visit from 10 until 11 at the church. Interment will follow in Williams Cemetery in Biloxi under the direction of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi.
