Dorothy L. Polenz

Mrs. Dorothy L. Polenz has now joined her family in Heaven after long years of battling dementia. She was guided peacefully into God’s arms by her family members at home. Mrs. Polenz was born in Bogulusa, Louisiana then became a lifelong resident of Biloxi, MS. She retired after a long career at J.C. Penny Department Store and then went on to volunteer and work at Biloxi Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Polenz is the last surviving child of D.O. Perry, owner of Perry’s Café, Biloxi, MS. She was preceded in death by her one and only love, her husband of 68 years, Victor Polenz. Her strength and dignity will be carried on by her daughters, Paula L. (Polenz) Bruce and Vicky Polenz both of Biloxi, MS; her devoted and loving grandson, Christopher (Kathleen) Bruce; granddaughter, Brandy (Horace) Cunningham both of Biloxi, MS; nieces, Robyn Billings and Shawnee Perry; and cousins, Jacob and Micah Huckabee. The family would like to extend all our love to Camelia Home Health Hospice, her nurses Carla and Denise, aide Alexis; her lifelong friend Kerrie Murray for all her support and the staff at Dr. Marionwain Wright. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Thursday, October 17, 2013.
