Dorothy Wink

Dorothy Hearn McCaleb Wink, 90, of Gulfport, died Thursday October 2, 2008 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Born July 14, 1918 and a lifelong resident of Gulfport, Dorothy was evacuated from the coast shortly after hurricane Katrina, along with a son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons to Galveston, TX by a dear family friend, Fred L. Myers. She later moved to Arkadelphia, AR to be near her eldest son Johnny. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Howard I. Wink. She is survived by her three sons; Johnny (wife Susan) of Arkadelphia, AR, Robert (wife Misun) of Long Beach, MS, and Richard of Gulfport, MS, and three grandsons, Gene, Lee and Alex. Visitation will be held Tuesday October 7, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00p.m.at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home 15th St. in Gulfport. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday October 8, 2008 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. The family prefers contributions to the Galveston Bay Hurricane Relief Fund which can be made at any Hancock Bank location.
