Dorothy "Dottie" G. Zirkle, age 80, of Gulfport, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006 in Gulfport. She was a native of Little Elm, Texas and was a resident of Gulfport since 1986, She was a graduate of Wichita Falls High School, and a homemaker. She was Protestant.
Mrs. Zirkle was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Zirkle.
Mrs. Zirkle is survived by one son, Van Clark Zirkle and his wife, Janet Sullivan Zirkle of Gulfport; one grandson, Waco Forrest Zirkle of Biloxi; one nephew, Jerry Fair of Pennsylvania; one niece,
Beverly Fair of Wichita Falls, TX; and a very close friend who was like a daughter to her, Rosie Alexander of Biloxi; and many other friends.
During her loving stay here on earth she enjoyed the Gaither Brothers on Sunday mornings. She was loved by many friends, especially people she met during her "everyday" visits at Goodwill Stores and garage sales. But most of all she had a BIG HEART for CATS. She would feed every stray cat she would see. Mrs. Zirkle was a very kind and caring person who placed the needs of others first and foremost in her life. She will be truly missed by her loving family and friends.
